The second of Livinghomes' Ray Kappe designed modular houses - the WIRED Home blends high-tech with green.  R&S was brought in to develop the Structural Design of the building.

The Desert House was the prototype for Marmol-Radziner Prefab work.  The home was built with steel floor frames, steel columns & steel roof frames.  Concrete floors and SIPs ceilings help the home maintain its low energy footprint.

• Structural Design of custom residence utilizing Tridipanel proprietary wall system
• Building utilized Steel Beams and Columns to obtain maximum openings and exposure to yard & deck areas
• Notable for its use of Tridipanel in a home.  R&S performed the calculations to verify the feasibility of this new construction method.

Ceraban Design, an architecture firm in the high Sierras has been on the forefront of Green Design.  With this experimental building system, R&S was able to help bring the design of this Tridipanel residence to fruition.

The Norwegian-styled “Santa” House was a temporary seasonal structure set at a Las Vegas shopping mall for the Christmas season.

• Designed with system of steel angles and anchors to the concrete, allowing the Santa House to be relocated without damaging the pavement underneath.

The Carneros Resort Inn in Napa Valley was a unique project KIT Homes contacted R&S about.  The inn was developed on what was once a mobile home community and is now a world-class destination in Napa Valley.

• Modules were designed for telescoping roof to allow for a 15-foot floor to ceiling height after setting
• Infill walls were panelized to close the perimeter

R & S was asked to structurally design a roof system that would transport with a clearance of 12'-0" and raise to 15'-0" once set.  We came up with a unique system of telescoping the roof to accomplish the client's needs.
